The COROS Heart Rate Monitor uses optical sensing through the skin and responds more slowly to changes (7-10 seconds), but offers greater comfort. Although the COROS Heart Rate Monitor is water resistant (for example, in the rain), due to the physical limitations of Bluetooth connectivity, it does not work reliably in water – the Bluetooth signal cannot penetrate water. This means that it will not measure data accurately or consistently during water sports.
